Buckets vs. Tags

Contactually creates a structure to organize your contacts and a process to keep in touch. You’re familiar with the buckets but what are tags and how are they different?

In this post you will learn:

DEFINITIONS
BUCKET: A bucket allows you to segment your contacts into different groups. The follow up reminder system is based around the buckets. Buckets also connect to a variety of other features within your account. Buckets are very important to understand. Still confused? Watch this video.
TAG: Tags are a way to sub-categorize your contacts. They simply serve as a label for organization within a bucket. Tags can group together contacts across different buckets. Tags do not prompt any action in the system.
HOW ARE THEY CREATED?

Buckets:

By hovering over Add Bucket, you will be able to either add a bucket from the bucket library, or create your own bucket.

Tags:

You can create tags by checking the boxes of the contacts you want to add a tag to, then selecting the more option at the bottom. You then select tag and create your tag.
